据此前报道，巴特勒会履行现有合同，但他一定会在未来试水自由市场，即使被交易到了新球队。热火总裁莱利曾在接受记者采访时表示，球队还不确定是否要给巴特勒提供顶薪续约合同。

巴特勒2024-25赛季薪资是4880万美元，2025-26赛季是价值5241万美元的球员选项，他可以在明年休赛期跳出合同成为自由球员。

2023-24赛季，巴特勒为热火出战60场常规赛，场均得到20.8分5.3篮板5助攻1.3抢断。
